On September 25, the 22nd domestic Type 052D destroyer was launched.
Its launch marked that the construction of the domestic Type 052D
destroyer is still on the fast track and the construction work will
continue beyond 2020.
The 22nd domestic 052D destroyer is the 9th improved 052D destroyer.
Compared with the basic type 052D destroyer, it lengthens the take-off
and landing deck of the battleship helicopter to take off and land the
straight-20 shipborne anti-submarine helicopter. The air alert radar has
also been upgraded, and the original 517m wave long-range alert radar
has been replaced with a new generation of domestically produced MIW
active phased array radar, and the overall performance has been
significantly enhanced.
